I'm not sure this scenario is as far fetched as we'd like to think . Given a choice between a democracy where they're a relatively unheard minority and a dictatorship where they're in absolute control, I suspect that many fundamentalist Christians would choose that latter. Who cares about an irrelevant “secular humanist” institution like democracy when God's righteous kingdom is at stake?
